Am Spitz (Floridsdorf), named in 1874 to preserve the local name of the former municipality Jedlersdorf am Spitz, which was merged with Floridsdorf in 1874. The “Spitz” itself refers to the junction located here, where Prager Straße and Brünner Straße meet.

I visited "Am Spitz" after having photographed "Amselgasse" on October 28th 2024 as it was on my way back home. I used to be in this area so often in the past, when visiting the parents of my ex-partner. Their apartment was around the corner. Maybe it still is, I wouldn't know. How strange - the constant change. Am Spitz was undergoing changes too back in 2024 and is for sure already looking different now.
