Am Kabelwerk (Altmannsdorf), named in 2006 after Kabel- und Drahtwerke AG, which was one of the most important companies in Meidling for 100 years. The founder and owner was the entrepreneur Otto Bondy. The factory was closed in 1997 and in 2001 the Kabelwerk district was built in its place, consisting of 17 buildings with 1,049 residential units and the associated infrastructure.
