Altmannsdorfer Straße, named in 1894 after the former suburb of Altmannsdorf, whose name refers to the bishop and saint Altmann of Passau. Around 1742, the street was called Laxenburger Allee and then Laxenburger Straße, because it originally led (mostly dead straight) from Schönbrunn to Laxenburg Palace, both imperial residences. Until 1954 a section was called Hofalleestrasse.
