Albertisgasse was named on June 1st, 1966 after the adjacent site of the allotment garden association Albertis, which existed until the mid-1960s. The allotment garden association was located between Shuttleworthstrasse and the allotment garden association “Groß-Jedlersdorf”. After that there were the branches Mautner Markhof and Tarbuk. Before that, the alley formed part of Kantnergasse.
