Adamsgasse, was named on July 11th 1862 after the butcher Johann Adam (birth and death date unknkown). His business existed around 1756 in the house “Zur goldenen Weintraube” in the Weißgerbervorstadt. The street name was already commonly used in the vernacular. The alley is the scene of a storyline in the novel The Falls of Slunj by the author Heimoto von Doderer. In the novel the first apartment of the protagonist Chwostik is located in Adamsgasse between the prostitutes Finy and Feverl and the caretaker Wewerka.

I had borrowed the Nikon F100 camera I was taking these photos with from a friend who lived in Adamsgasse. I combined returning the camera with shooting one last roll of film with it (I later bought my own Nikon F100, I love that camera).
